DreamLeague S26 Day 1 Results – Stand-ins, Comebacks, and Surprises
The first day of DreamLeague Season 26 has ended, with every team playing two Best of 2 matches.
We learned that two teams are playing with stand-ins:
-
V-Tune is standing in for miCKe in Team Liquid
-
Kiritych is standing in for Pure in the BetBoom Team
Let’s go over a recap to digest all the Dota action played on the first day.
Group A
Despite playing with a stand-in, the BetBoom Team have impressed with a 3-1 record, tied with their Eastern European brothers Aurora.
One of the most exciting matches was a clash between Team Liquid and the BetBoom Team, the two lineups missing their star carry player. The series ended 2-0 for the latter, though both games were extremely exciting.
More surprises include two Americas representatives, OG.LATAM and Shopify Rebellion, taking wins off Aurora and Xtreme Gaming, respectively. In the series against Aurora, DarkMago♡ produced a highlight reel with his play on Sand King.
Group B
Four teams are currently tied for first place in Group B, with NAVI Junior finding themselves in the mix.
PARIVISION took down Team Falcons in the most anticipated match of the day in relatively clean fashion. The Gaimin Gladiators also took on the MENA squad, in which the series ended as a draw.
NAVI Junior pulled off an 18,000 gold comeback against AVULUS after picking off Xibbe who had no buyback. The Ukrainian squad marched down the middle lane for an all-in push which worked out.
The DreamLeague Season 26 Group Stage will continue for three more days. By the end of it, half the competition will be eliminated.
