DreamLeague S26 Day 2 Results – OmaR Leaves Mid Tournament And Nigma Improves?
Day 2 of DreamLeague Season 26 has ended, and the table continues to develop. At the start of the day, Nigma Galaxy announced that support player OmaR had urgent matters to attend to and flew back home. As a result, the MENA squad was forced to bring in yamich as an immediate replacement.
Group A Results
After a convincing 2-0 victory against Team Liquid, Aurora continue to lead Group A with 6 points. However, three teams aren’t that far behind, as BOOM Esports, Nigma Galaxy, and the BetBoom Team are tied with 5 points.
Despite OmaR leaving in the middle of the tournament, Nigma Galaxy finished the second day with a 3-1 record after only dropping one map against the group leaders – Aurora.
BOOM Esports continue to impress with its new roster, going 4-0 on Day 2 to improve their 1-3 standing on Day 1.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid continue to struggle in DreamLeague tournaments, as they are sitting with a negative 3-5 record. Even without a stand-in, Team Liquid have failed to reach a DreamLeague Playoff for six consecutive seasons, with their last strong showing being a second place finish at Season 19, which was two years ago.
Group B Results
Group B is led by PARIVISION, which isn’t too big of a surprise, but Yakult Brothers are right there with them.
The Chinese squad performed a shocking upset, sweeping Team Falcons 2-0 in their confrontation. This puts the MENA squad with a 3-5 standing in the bottom-half of the group.
The Gaimin Gladiators were handed a 0-2 loss by PARIVISION, but they are still in a comfortable position after going 5-1 before the series. This puts Quinn and the boys in third place with a respectable 5-3 record.
The DreamLeague Season 26 Group Stage will continue for two more days. By the end of it, half the competition will be eliminated.
