EEU: 9 Pandas Set For Bali, Three-way Tiebreaker to End the Summer Tour
On the fourth of June, 9 Pandas were set to play against Virtus.Pro for the remaining slot for the EEU region, with both teams having a group stage record of 4-2. It was a decisive series between the two teams, with the match going the distance with three maps.
Virtus.Pro were leading throughout the entirety of Game 3, but the game all came down to the fight around the second Roshan. VP’s core heroes, Monkey King and Ember Spirit, were taken out and had no buyback to rejoin the fight. 9 Pandas were able to capitalize on the deaths of the two heroes to turn the game around and close out the series 2-1.
9 Pandas survive a scare from Virtus.Pro and prevent the upset. Like the two previous DPC Tours, the Eastern European region will have the same three representatives for Valve’s Major.
Though the Major attendees from Eastern Europe have been decided, the last step before concluding the Summer DPC Tour is to decide on the second team to join UALEIKUMNIHAO in Division II.
A three-way tiebreaker between One Move, Hydra, and Nemiga Gaming will transpire on the fifth of June. Two teams will survive relegation and stay in Division II for the next DPC season, while we will have to say goodbye to one of the three.
