Liquid Coach Blitz After Taking Down Talon: “If you’re afraid of bracket luck or anything like that, then you’re a shit team.”
For the fourth time in a row, Team Liquid has defeated Talon Esports, this time in the Upper Bracket of The International 12.
Unfortunately for the fans, we didn’t get an intense series between the two teams, as Team Liquid showed their superiority over the Southeast Asian team, winning the match convincingly.
In the first game, Talon looked like they had a strong start in their lanes. But they couldn’t make anything happen and allowed Liquid to recover. In the mid game, Talon clearly had damage issues and couldn’t kill any Liquid heroes, allowing the WEU team to take the first map.
Team Liquid could close the series in the second game after some well-executed team fights. Liquid’s captain, iNSaNiA, on Ancient Apparition, played a crucial role with his Ice Blasts throughout the game. Overall, two clean games from Team Liquid have allowed them to move on in the Upper Bracket.
Team Liquid coach Blitz was brought in for a post-game interview to share his thoughts. He was asked about his next matchup against Team Spirit:
“I think Spirit is probably the best team in the world, and we are as well. And if you aspire to be the best, you have to play the best. And if you’re afraid of bracket luck or anything like that, then you’re a shit team.
So, if Spirit is as good as they think they are, then they’ll beat us and maybe we’ll meet them again, and if they’re not, then we’ll smash them and cruise our way to the top three.”
