NAVI Junior and Shopify Rebellion Qualify for the Esports World Cup
With the Closed Qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025 raging on for all regions, the Western European and North American Qualifiers were the first one to be completed.
The promising squad of NAVI Junior continued to impress, taking the singular slot from the WEU Qualifiers. The prospects lost to MOUZ in the second round of the Upper Bracket, but mounted a Lower Bracket, taking down MOUZ in a rematch to reach the Grand Final.
NAVI Junior took on AVULUS in the Grand Final and won the series after four maps, qualifying for another S-Tier LAN event since their deep run at PGL Wallachia Season 4.
The North American Qualifiers didn’t come as much of a surprise. With the recent addition of Davai Lama to the squad, Shopify Rebellion dominated the entire competition, dropping zero maps along the way. The squad defeated Wildcard Gaming 3-0 in the Grand Final to join the list of EWC participants.
The Esports World Cup 2025 tournament will feature a $3,000,000 prize pool, and will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event is set to run from July 8 to 19.
